HOW TO PREPARE FOR A FULL-BODY JUICE CLEANSE

BEFORE beginning,

it’s ideal to take a week or at least a few days to stop your intake of the following:

Coffee

Alcohol

Salt

Sugar and other sweeteners

All animal foods, including dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, chicken, beef, pork, and all other

flesh meats

These foods put significant strain on your digestive organs.

Avoiding them “cold turkey” can sometimes create withdrawal symptoms that are too powerful for some to tolerate.

- If possible cut out all grains, legumes, nuts + seeds a day or 2 before you begin your detox -

these foods are rich in fiber, and their remains should move through your

digestive tract without too much difficulty during your juice cleanse. But, if you already

have a fairly clean diet you may want to clean it up even more so before your cleanse. In

this case, cut out all grains, legumes, nuts and seeds as well.

Raw fruits and veggies only!

The ideal diet leading up to a juice fast is raw, juicy fruit.

If you feel that you are able to accomplish this, please do so!

If you don’t wish to spend up to a week to taper your intake of the foods listed above, it is

okay to begin right away; just be aware that you may experience highly uncomfortable

symptoms of withdrawal, like having strong headaches, nausea, feeling lightheaded, or even flu like

symptoms.

DURING the juice cleanse,

stick to the 8 bottles per day plus any water that you may

need in between juices. Cleansing is performed by your body’s self-regulated cleansing

mechanisms. 50% of the body’s energy is used to digest food. True cleansing can only

occur when we are not digesting food. Drinking only juices will keep the stomach empty

while giving the body nutrients. A more advanced practice is drinking only water. The

body can accomplish the detoxification process much faster while only consuming water. A

juice cleanse may take triple the amount of time to accomplish what a water fast will.

The Auraganic cleanse will set you up for success!!

You should have 8 bottles:

  • 5 Selected raw organic cold pressed juices

  • 2 Master Cleansers (Pristine Hydro water, Ginger, Lemon, Cayenne)

  • 1 Almond Milk

You will be successful! Whenever a craving for food comes on, you will have something

to grab and drink. You can even chew it if you like!

  • JUICES are to be consumed every 2 – 3 hours throughout the day.

  • ALMOND MILK is for a treat for those who have a nighttime sweet tooth. It can be

drunk at lunchtime instead if you think you will not need it at night.

  • MASTER CLEANSERS should be consumed throughout the day in between the

juices. You don’t have to drink it all at once, as it is meant to stimulate the large

intestine throughout the day. It is a good idea to take a few gulps from this bottle

upon waking.

>>> WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A 3 – 7 DAY CLEANSE

  • Do not expect to have a bowel movement if you are not eating. Do not force yourself to

go to the bathroom if you feel constipated. It is normal. Wait until after the cleanse.

When you reintroduce food, the bowels will turn back on ;)

  • Colonics or coffee enemas can be done alongside a 3 day or longer juice cleanse but are

not required. For more info on how to do your own coffee enema please ask google.

  • Self massage and exercise are highly recommended. Our lymphatic system is the

sewage system of the body and can only drain through movement or massage.

  • Movement is very important while cleansing. The body will cleanse much faster with

more blood flow.

  • When your energy levels feel low you may rest or if you believe in the power of your

body you may instead do the opposite. This means, light to heavy exercise. You may do

jumping jacks or burpees for a revitalized energy or things such as hiking or jogging or

even a non-heated yoga class if you really want to push your body. (We are not doctors.

This is what we do for our bodies while cleansing. Do not hold us liable if you choose

to do this and don’t like the effects. If you are unsure you can ask your doctor (being

aware that your doctor has never fasted and knows nothing about cleansing or

nutrition).)

  • It has been demonstrated again and again that the body can exert as much energy or

more while juice cleansing as it can while eating normally.

  • Headaches!!! Nausea! These are the 2 main pains that the body will have now that it

finally has an opportunity to expel the toxins that it has been holding onto for years.

>>> WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER A 3 – 7 DAY CLEANSE

More Energy!

Waking up Easily!

Sweet Dreams

Clearer thinking

More positive outlook on life

Clearer skin and eyes

Less food cravings

Ability to really Taste food

And the most desired, Weight loss!!

Keep in mind that if this is your first time cleansing, you have years of toxins stored up in

your cells. They took a long time to get there and now they are going want to leave your

body all at once. This means that you WILL FEEL BAD! Your body may hurt. You will

likely have a headache. You will likely feel nausea. You may even get diarrhea or vomit.

The body wants to get rid of toxins and if you give it an opportunity, it most definitely

will!!

The body can heal during this time because the blood does not have to be used to digest

food. You may notice skin blemishes clearing up or acne coming and going, or arthritis

clearing up. All sickness, illness and disease can be healed if you cleanse/fast long

enough.

F.A.Q.

HOW MANY DAYS SHOULD I CLEANSE FOR?

Doing a 1-3 day cleanse for your first time will make you feel accomplished. Doing a 5

day or more cleanse for your first time will make you feel empowered!! My suggestion

always is to empower yourself. You will never know if you don’t try! Stated better, Try it

to find out why for yourself! I can try to describe what an orange tastes like but the only

real way is to taste it for yourself. In a nutshell, the empowerment comes in the form that

you will have control over your food instead of your food having control over you. Also,

It is the only way to heal your body completely.

Doing a 1 day fast every week is very beneficial and most definitely a key to longevity.

AFTER a full body juice cleanse,

the goal with your diet is simple: it’s to minimize the workload on your digestive organs while supplying your body with enough energy to

carry out its everyday activities.

Juicy fruit is the ideal human diet! You can find optimal nutrition and energy here. It will keep you hydrated and not burden your enzymatic system because it has tons of its own!

Vegetables, fruits, and their juices in their raw form are also good choices after a juice cleanse:

For most people, vegetables and fruits are extremely easy to digest. For those who have trouble digesting raw food this means that your body is holding on to toxins. You need to fast longer!

Vegetables and fruits are naturally rich in water; staying hydrated is essential Grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and all animal foods are harder to digest than vegetables and fruits and cause disease. Especially Animal products!

SET UP YOUR SUCCESS

Make sure that your kitchen is well stocked with vegetables and fruits that you enjoy.

Here is a list of vegetables and fruits that can be highly effective to keep the cleanse effects going after your Juice cleanse:

  • Watermelon

  • Honeydew

  • Pears

  • Apples

  • Mangoes

  • Papaya

  • Peaches

  • Plums

  • Nectarines

  • Grapes

  • Coconut

  • Oranges

  • Grapefruit

  • Blueberries

  • Raspberries

  • Blackberries

  • Goji berries, and any other berries that you enjoy

  • leafy lettuce (romaine, red leaf, green leaf)

  • Bitter leaves (Arugula, dandelion, Raddichio)

  • Crunchy leaves (Cabbage of any color, Butter lettuce)

  • Dark green (kale, collard, spinach)

  • Avocados

  • Tomatoes

  • Cucumbers

  • Celery

  • Carrots

  • Red or golden beets

  • Zucchini

  • Bell peppers

  • Broccoli

  • Cauliflower

  • Asparagus

  • Onions

  • Corn

  • Yukon gold or new potatoes

  • Sweet potatoes or yams

  • Acorn or butternut squash

  • Any other fruits or vegetables that you enjoy raw or juiced

Some of the vegetables listed must be cooked. Try raw but if you need cooked, that is better than anything out of a package or an animal.

Clearly, it’s best to choose fruits and vegetables that are in season. Organic varieties are best, but my experience has been that non-organic produce can also be used to experience amazing health and detox benefits.

Also keep in mind that fermented and cultured vegetables are a great source of probiotics,

vitamin C and a whole variety of immune boosting/cleansing compounds.

NOTES

  • Regarding liquids: Have on hand plenty of water that you feel comfortable drinking.

  • When weighed against all of the moment-to-moment dietary and lifestyle factors that affect your health, so long as your water isn’t intentionally poisoned, even municipal tap water can be used to experience a highly effective cleanse.

  • Auraganic sells Pristine Hydro water which is highly recommended. Click HERE to check out their website for more info.

  • It is OK to drink warm or hot water.

  • It is also OK to use sparkling mineral water if you desire. however, you should mainly drink “still” water during your cleanse.

  • Regarding medications: Please do not taper or stop taking prescription medications

  • without your physician's consent. Although fasting can be a very effective way to taper

  • off of meds with the least discomfort. (Again, we are not physicians, if you choose to

  • stop your meds and anything bad happens it’s on you and the doctor who gave you the

  • meds)

  • Regarding nutritional supplements: Regularly avoid any supplements that contain

  • synthetic nutrients, protein isolates, grains, nuts, seeds, or lecithin. During the cleanse do

  • not take supplements. If you cleanse correctly and for long enough you will never need

  • supplements again! That’s the intention right?! Stop paying money into a multi-billion

  • dollar industry that makes money off of your sickness (the toxins from the food that you

  • ate all your life that is blocking your nutrient uptake) It's also fine to take a probiotic as

  • long as it doesn’t have anything added.

  • Regarding equipment: If you can chew your foods well, you don't need much by way of

  • equipment. If you have access to a strong blender and a juicer, you can make smoothies

  • and juices after your cleanse, but these aren’t absolutely necessary.

DAILY UPKEEP AFTER CLEANSING

Make this a lifestyle

Morning

It is nice to alkalize the body with a sip of lemon water first thing.

Eat any and as much raw, ripe fruits that you desire, and if you desire any veggies a well.

If you’d like, you can blend up your morning meal into a smoothie with almond or coconut milk.

You can also have water, sparkling water, or a hot drink made with boiling water and herbal tea like peppermint or chamomile.

Afternoon

Eat a large vegetable salad with as many different vegetables as possible.

If you would like a salad dressing try to refrain from using any oils and salt, instead you can use avocado or tahini with fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice or fresh lime juice.

If you can tolerate it without the fat, then skip the avocado and Tahini. Try to avoid vinegar, honey, salt, and spices with additives. Fresh herbs are great!

If you don’t think you can make it to dinner on a raw vegetable salad with avocado, have a steamed Yukon gold potato or sweet potato after your salad.

Feel free to have water, sparkling water, or herbal tea after your lunch meal. Also feel free to have any fresh, ripe fruits that you desire after your vegetable salad.

Evening

Eat any combination of raw vegetables and fruits that you desire, but aim to have at least as many vegetables as fruits.

If you’re still hungry after eating raw vegetables and fruits, have any steamed vegetables that you enjoy, such as steamed broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, corn, and asparagus.

If you’re still hungry after eating steamed vegetables, feel free to have steamed root vegetables, such as steamed potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots.

Snacks

Any raw fruits, vegetables, their juices, and smoothies made with raw fruits and vegetables are fine snack choices.

For a dip to eat with raw vegetables, have guacamole made with avocado, green onion, and lemon or lime juice. Or occasionally hummus.

Blessings and good Luck!
